Wednesday, January 20th, 2010Have You Ever Read Those Full Page Ads in Biz Op Magazines and Wondered if…
Monday, January 11th, 2010I just received my current issue of Home Business Connection, a monthly magazine about opportunities to start your own business. They have such headlines as:
To name just a few. Can you really make that kind of money? Are they true, or are they lying? Or maybe just stretching it a little bit. In the research I’ve done on biz ops and MLM deals, I would say 1% or 2% possibly could do it. But I’ll bet my bottom dollar that the vast majority of us couldn’t come close to that kind of money.
I did a google search on some of these and found several with numerous complaints about them being scams, crooked, thieves and many other names. Some of them are listed in the ripoff report online as outright scams. So as you read these full page ads, and start to visualize yourself as a millionaire and buying that new Lexus or Mercedes, and sailing on your yacht and living in that plush mansion, before you reach for your credit card, do a little research.
How legit are they? Check with the FTC, BBB, do a google search on name of company and of the product. Then you are at least able to make an intelligent decision. If you still want to gamble on it, then you go in with both eyes open. Some advice though if you plan to go ahead. Use your credit card. You have some (but limited) protection here. You might want to check with your credit card company (the number on back of the card). Don’t use your checking account or a debit card. You have no protection here. Once a check has cleared, it’s gone.
Please don’t misunderstand. Some of these are probably legit. It takes a lot of money to pay for a full page color ad. The magazine does not guarantee anything. And probably does not even check them out. The magazine is in business to make money, and will accept most any advertisement as long as it’s paid for.
One thing to watch for, is how much information do they give you about themselves. Any legit ad should have a phone number, email address, website and postal mailing address. Beware of one I recently received in the mail. A full color brochure, with no phone, no email, no website. Only a PO Box so you could mail your payment. And, they didn’t take credit cards or personal checks. Money orders or cash only. That should be a big tipoff that it’s a scam. Especially when it makes outrageous promises and deals.

Seo And On Page Optimization
Thursday, December 17th, 2009What is SEO? Search engine optimization (SEO) is the way to improve the traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic”) search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. Most of firm offer various tools for SEO and the cost of SEO goes high with that. But they do not know what lies in each segment of the SEO service. SEO Company offer mainly two type of SEO On Page SEO and Off Page SEO.
Most of SEO Company give Website Optimization along with Off Page optimization and also include a long term Off Page optimization to improve rankings which add huge cost to promote any site. Yes, it helps in ranking but most of company actually does not work on pages properly to see that it should be the best page then its competitor. As this require a mind game and knowledge to see various factors to do on page Optimization. Most of SEO expert normally work on some Meta tags and little bit of text. But is the relevancy of the same with entire page, they do not know.
As per findings if a on page optimization is not done properly, off page optimization is not going to help much specially for competitive keywords. On page Optimization has more the 70% value for entire process and if not done propely then it may be a wasted effort and money on off page optimization. For example if you type a keyword in search engine you will find many sites in TOP 10 which will have very good page and back Links with good PR. But in these TOP website you may find one site which has poor back links then the other sites with low PR and still have place in TOP 10 or TOP 20. Why? If you see carefully that page must be very well done with 100% keyword relevancy for that particular keyword.
But how to do the On page Optimisation to win? That’s a tricky question as there is no definite rule for this and there are many check points for each page and for each keyword.
You must choose Keyword for any page carefullyYou must use proper text for meta tags.
Use H1, H2 tags
Try to fix the best possible way to fix keyword relevancy.

Successful Google Adwords Strategies: Getting Your Site to the First Page of Search Engine Results in Six Easy Steps
Friday, November 20th, 2009Google AdWords Basics Part Four – Landing Page Optimization
Sunday, November 8th, 2009Google AdWords Basics Part Four – Landing Page Optimization
When using Google AdWords, your landing page should always be highly relevant to the ad you’re placing. The higher the relevancy of your ad, the better the price of your CPC per keyword. That’s just how Google does business. Don’t try to fool customers by sending them to some page you think they’ll like better (or for whatever other reason you might have to do so); in the end you’ll just be sabotaging yourself. Google knows how relevant your ads are by how much time someone who clicks on your ad stays on your landing page, as well as how many times the searched keyword appears on your landing page. There are other factors in the Google relevancy equation, however, the entire formula isn’t revealed by Google.
Landing Page Optimization is equally as important as ad optimization in Google AdWords. If someone clicks on your ad and find themselves on a page which is not directly related to the ad they clicked on, the chances are that you’ve just wasted the money you spent on that click. Maybe your ads have a great CTR, but if your cost per conversion is horrible your CTR doesn’t mean anything. Say you’re advertising a Harry Potter book; don’t link the clicker to the bookstore homepage, link them to the exact page where the Harry Potter book can be bought. If your ad mentions some sort of specific deal, make that deal visible on your landing page.
As mentioned above, your landing pages are just as relevant as the ads they’re linked from; this is why you should also split test landing pages (if you own the domain you’re using to advertise of course). To split-test landing pages, make two identical ads and just change the landing page links (you want the ads to be identical because otherwise you won’t know what the discrepancy in cost per conversion is due to). If you don’t know anything about “web -copywriting” and you have access to the source code of your capture page, you should definitely read a web-copywriting book. Testing your own ideas and layouts of landing pages can also be great, but knowing what really sparks interest in the human mind could save you a lot of money.
